The terms that apply when you use Hutchline, and the limits of what a pedigree printed from your own records can be relied on for.

What this is
Hutchline is a helper for breeders keeping their own records of rabbits, cavies and cats. It lays out the ancestors you enter as a pedigree, prints what you typed, and does arithmetic on your records. It is not a registry, it does not register any animal, and it does not check that anything you entered is true.
Breeder's pedigrees, not registration papers
Every pedigree printed here is a breeder's pedigree: your own statement of an animal's ancestry. It is not registration papers and it does not replace a registry's certificate or a registrar's examination. Registries set their own requirements; where anything here disagrees with a registry's current rules, the registry's rules govern. You are responsible for the accuracy of every pedigree you sign and hand over. Hutchline is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to the American Rabbit Breeders Association, the American Cavy Breeders Association, The International Cat Association, the Cat Fanciers' Association or any other registry or breed club.
The inbreeding estimate
The coefficient of inbreeding shown here is computed only from the ancestors recorded in your own herd, with every unknown ancestor treated as unrelated. It is an estimate for your own planning. It is not a genetics test, a health assessment or breeding advice.
Your records
Anything the site remembers is stored by your own browser on your own device. It can be cleared by you at any time, cannot be recovered by us, and does not follow you to another device. Keep backups.
Payments
Every feature is free to use, with no account. No paid plan is offered at present; if one is added, this page will describe it.
Acceptable use
Use the site to keep your own records and print your own pedigrees. Do not scrape it at a rate that degrades it for other people, and do not present its output as registration papers or as a registry's document.
Warranty and liability
The site is provided as it is, without warranty of any kind. To the extent the law allows, Hutchline is not liable for any loss arising from the use of the site or from reliance on anything on it, including a pedigree or registration that is not accepted. A result here is a layout of, or a calculation on, what you typed.
Contact
Questions, or a report that a pedigree fills in wrongly, go to [email protected]. A wrong pedigree or calculation is a defect and gets fixed.
