What to print

Printing from the demo herd: invented animals. Add your own in the herd

Before you print

  • 54 of 62 ancestor boxes are recorded; the rest print as Unknown or blank.
  • Appears more than once: Oakley MR10 (2 times), Flint MR3 (3 times), Laurel MR4 (2 times), Heath MR5 (2 times), Fern MR6 (2 times), Granite MR G1 (6 times), Heather MR H1 (3 times), Alder MR A1 (5 times), Yarrow MR Y1 (3 times), Rue MR R1 (3 times), Linden MR L1 (3 times), Slate MR S1 (2 times).
  • Three generation check (in every box a name, where the ear number will do, the ear number, a variety and a weight; one breed): complete. What registration asks for
  • Inbreeding estimate over 5 generations: 8.2 percent, through Oakley MR10 (3.13 percent), Granite MR G1 (1.17 percent), Alder MR A1 (0.78 percent), Fern MR6 (0.78 percent). How the estimate works

The chart is wider than a phone: scroll it sideways to see every generation.

Reading the printout

Sires sit on the upper line of each pair and dams on the lower. A box marked Unknown was not recorded; the boxes behind it stay blank rather than guessed. An ancestor that appears more than once is named under the chart.

For what each box should hold, read what goes on a rabbit pedigree, and for choosing a depth, three, four and five generation pedigrees. Your records live in your herd.
